Cambridgeshire ladies 38 - Suffolk Ladies 15
An artificial pitch at Shelford allowed Suffolk's second game in the tri-counties competition to go ahead, despite freezing conditions.
Suffolk's Grace Deane opened the scoring with a brilliant solo try, but a strong Cambridgeshire replied with multiple tries to take control of the game. Suffolk managed to regain a foothold in the game with a further try courtesy of Grace Deane before half time.
Suffolk had to defend their line with determination as the hosts turned the screw in the second half and secured the victory. However Suffolk finished strongly with a break by the ever present Deane creating an opening for Emma West to score the third of Suffolk's tries.
Although victory went to the stronger home side, Suffolk displayed character in staying in the game and Grace Deane deservedly won the woman of the match award for her display.
